Humanitarian Use of Drones in the Desert

As part of the Odyssey2025 project, sister company Mobility Robotics is currently working together with Humanity & Inclusion using off the shelf, industrial and custom drones for inspection and cartography of minefields and other hazardous areas in the African country of Chad. Working in the Sahara desert is a challenging, but rewarding.

A series of documentary style videos are being produced to help explain drone activities taking place. The following is Part 1 in the series, captured during field work in January 2019.

It is basically a video companion to this peer reviewed research paper published in the Journal of Conventional Weapons Destruction.

More information about the project in Chad is available here.
