Fardoulis Robotics provided (UAS) drone and peripheral equipment for flights over the Manchester United football pitch at Old Trafford this week, to help gain awareness for the International Day of Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action. With full CAA authorization, John Fardoulis was the pilot.

This was in conjunction with a Drone Humanitarian Demining project at the University of Bristol, funded by Find A Better Way, the charity founded by England and Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton. Find A Better Way is currently funding nine different university programmes in the UK and Croatia researching faster, cheaper, and safer methods of dealing with landmine & ERW issues.

Flights were broadcast live on the BBC breakfast program, with an audience of a few million people.

Support from Manchester United is really appreciated, as this demonstration would not have been possible without their help.
