Once again, Fardoulis Robotics assisted with unmanned aerial systems and expertise over the last week, to help create baseline data for airborne testing over the next few months. The university’s Long Ashton research facility will be used to test sensors and UAS equipment on a regular basis, before field trials abroad. It is a two year project by the University of Bristol and Find a Better Way charity.
The idea is to see how well simulated landmines planted at Long Ashton can be detected from in the air, particularly as vegetation grows around/over where they are buried.
